Meet hopie
Hope Sheppard began her artistic journey as a hobby, finding joy in the rhythm of fabric, thread, and creativity. Over the past decade, that passion evolved into the creation of Hopie Bags—a line of handcrafted, functional, and lightweight handbags designed with both beauty and purpose in mind.
Many of Hope’s bespoke pieces feature intricate appliqué work, often inspired by cultural motifs and Indigenous icons. One of her most meaningful projects was a custom order of Inuit-themed bags created for the Ullugiagatsuk Choir, blending storytelling with craftsmanship. Hope finds her greatest fulfillment in the joy her customers feel when they connect with her work.
